COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (OFFICERS' TRAVELLING EXPENSES AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE AND EXPENSES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1975. I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 28 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), and section 6 of the Agriculture (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 17 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby make the following regulations: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) (Amendment) Regulations, 1975.
(2)The Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 to 1974, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 to 1975. 2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1975. 3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. 4. In these Regulations— "the Regulations of 1974" means the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) (Amendment) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 303 of 1974 ); "the No. 2 Regulations of 1974" means the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 354 of 1974 ). 5. The Schedule to the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 22 of 1965 ), shall have effect as if— ( a ) in paragraph 4(
- i)(e), with effect from the 1st day of January, 1974, "£0.097" were substituted, for "£0.084" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974) and "£0.047" were substituted for "£0.040" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974), ( b ) in paragraph 4(
- i)(f), with effect from the 1st day of January, 1974, "£0.109" were substituted, for "£0.094" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974) and "£0.052" were substituted for "£0.044" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974), ( c ) in paragraph 4(
- i)(g), with effect from the 1st day of January, 1974, "£0.129" were substituted, for "£0.113" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974) and "£0.060" were substituted for "£0.050" (inserted by the Regulations of 1974), ( d ) in paragraph 10(a), "£7.04" were substituted for "£5.50" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974) in both places where it occurs and "£6.48" were substituted for "£5.07" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974), ( e ) in paragraphs 10(
- b)and 10 (c), "£6.32" were substituted for "£4.94" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974) in each place where it occurs, and "£5.41" were substituted for "£4.23" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974) in each place where it occurs, ( f ) in paragraph 10(d), "£5.29" were substituted for "£4.13" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974) in both places where it occurs, and "£4.37" were substituted for "£3.42" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974), ( g ) in paragraph 11 (f), "£1.11" were substituted for "£0.87" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974), ( h ) in paragraphs 11 (
- d)and 11(
- f)"£0.95" were substituted for "£0.75" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974), and ( i ) in paragraph 11 (h), "£0.91" were substituted for "£0.71" (inserted by the No. 2 Regulations of 1974). EXPLANATORY NOTE These regulations provide for an increase in the night and day allowances payable to officers of the Committees of Agriculture from 1 January 1975, and for an increase in the rates of travelling expenses paid to these officers from 1 January, 1974.
