AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 221 of 1975. DISABLED PERSONS (MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1975. The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by sections 69 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1975. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1975. 3. Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations 1973 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1973 ) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub article
(4)thereof (as substituted by article 3 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 39 of 1975 )) of the following sub article:— "
(4)A maintenance allowance payable in accordance with this article shall be at a rate not exceeding £8.95 per week." GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health, this 29th day of September,

The effect of these Regulations is to increase, as from the 1st October, 1975, the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under Section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 , to eight pounds and ninety-five pence.
