MAXIMUM PRICES (INTOXICATING LIQUOR) (NO. 3) ORDER, 1975. The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), and the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), hereby orders as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 3) Order, 1975. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 20th day of October, 1975. 3. The Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 99 of 1973 ), and the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 2) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 116 of 1973 ) (as amended by the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 3) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 136 of 1973 )), the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 4) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 200 of 1973 ), the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 5) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 228 of 1973 ), and the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) (No. 6) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 278 of 1973 ), shall have effect as if— ( a ) the prices specified in the Schedules (as amended by the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1975 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1975 )) thereto of lager when sold by the pint in bottle, were increased by 2p per bottle, ( b ) the prices specified in the Schedules (as amended by the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1975) thereto of lager, when sold by the half pint in bottle, were increased by 1p per bottle, ( c ) the prices specified in the Schedules (as amended by the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1975) thereto for spirits, when sold by the glass, were increased by 1p per glass, and ( d ) the prices specified in the Schedules (as amended by the Maximum Prices (Intoxicating Liquor) Order, 1975) thereto for spirits when sold by the half glass, were increased by ½p per half glass. This Order provides for increases, as set out in the Order, in the maximum retail prices at which certain types of intoxicating liquor may be sold in licensed premises in the areas where such prices are controlled. The Order does not apply to intoxicating liquor sold in premises registered under the Tourist Traffic Acts, 1939 to 1972.
