IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (NO. 222) (CUSTOMS DUTIES AND FORM OF CUSTOMS TARIFF) ORDER, 1975. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and section 22 of the Finance Act 1962 (No. 15 of 1962), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (No. 222) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1975. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1976. 3. The Imposition of Duties (No. 200) (Customs and Excise Duties and Form of Tariff) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 220 of 1972 ), as amended, is hereby amended by— ( a ) the substitution of "Nil" for the rates specified in the eighth and ninth columns, respectively, of the Schedule at each tariff code number mentioned in Schedule I to this Order, ( b ) the substitution in the eighth and ninth columns of the Schedule at tariff code number 7320-023 of "2.6%" for "5.3%" and "2.1%" for "4.2%", respectively, ( c ) the substitution in the eighth and ninth columns of the Schedule at tariff code numbers 7338-230 and 7338-250 of "2.6%" for "5.1%" and "1.9%" for "3.8%" respectively, ( d ) the substitution in the eighth and ninth columns of the Schedule at tariff code numbers 7615-415 and 7615-455 of "4%" for "8%" and "3%" for "6%", respectively. ( e ) the substitution in the fourth column of the Schedule at each tariff code number mentioned in Schedule II to this Order of "(a)" for "(d)", "(e)" or "(h)", as the case may be, and ( f ) the deletion in the fourth column of the Schedule at each tariff code number other than a tariff code number mentioned in Schedule II to this Order of "(d)", "(e)" and "(h)" wherever they occur.
