LOCAL SECURITY FORCE (COMPENSATION FOR PERSONAL INJURIES) SCHEME, 1943 (FOURTH AMENDMENT) SCHEME, 1975. I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Continuation of Compensation Schemes Act, 1946 (No. 19 of 1946) (as amended by section 4 of the Continuation of Compensation Schemes Act, 1946 (Amendment) Act, 1949 (No. 15 of 1949)), as adapted by the Public Service (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1973 ), and with the consent of the Minister for the Public Service, hereby make the following Scheme: 1. This Scheme may be cited as the Local Security Force (Compensation for Personal Injuries) Scheme, 1943 (Fourth Amendment) Scheme, 1975. 2. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Local Security Force (Compensation for Personal Injuries) Scheme, 1943 (S.R. & O. No. 135 of 1943). 3. Paragraphs
(1)and
(2)of Article 8 of the Principal Regulations are hereby amended by— ( a ) the substitution, with effect from the 1st day of May, 1967, for "ninety shillings" (inserted by the Local Security Force (Compensation for Personal Injuries) Scheme, 1943 (Third Amendment) Scheme, 1960 (S .I. No. 158 of 1960)) of "£5.75", ( b ) the substitution, with effect from the 5th day of October, 1970, for "£5.75" (inserted by this Order) of "£7.00", ( c ) the substitution, with effect from the 4th day of October, 1971, for "£7.00" (inserted by this Order) of "£7.50", ( d ) the substitution, with effect from the 2nd day of October, 1972, for "£7.50" (inserted by this Order) of "£8.10", ( e ) the substitution, with effect from the 2nd day of July, 1973 for "£8.10" (inserted by this Order) of "£9.10", ( f ) the substitution, with effect from the 1st day of July, 1974, for "£9.10" (inserted by this Order) of "£10.80", ( g ) the substitution, with effect from the 4th day of April, 1975, for "£10.80" (inserted by this Order) of "£13.10", and ( h ) the substitution, with effect from the 3rd day of October, 1975, for "£13.10" (inserted by this Order) of "£13.80". 4. Paragraph
(1)(a) of Article 21 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by— ( a ) the substitution, with effect from the 1st day of May, 1967, for "thirty-five shillings" (inserted by the Local Security Force (Compensation for Personal Injuries) Scheme, 1943 (Third Amendment) Scheme, 1960) of "£4.75", ( b ) the substitution, with effect from the 5th day of October, 1970, for "£4.75" (inserted by this Order) of "£6.00", ( c ) the substitution, with effect from the 4th day of October, 1971, for "£6.00" (inserted by this Order) of "£7.00", ( d ) the substitution, with effect from the 2nd day of October 1972, for "£7.00" (inserted by this Order) of "£7.60", ( e ) the substitution, with effect from the 2nd day of July, 1973, for "£7.60" (inserted by this Order) of "£8.60", ( f ) the substitution, with effect from the 1st day of July, 1974, for "£8.60" (inserted b ythis Order) of "£10.15", ( g ) the substitution, with effect from the 4th day of April, 1975, for "£10.15" (inserted by this Order) of "£12.30", and ( h ) the substitution, with effect from the 3rd day of October, 1975, for "£12.30" (inserted by this Order) of "£12.95".
