CONTINENTAL SHELF (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER, 1976. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2
(3)of the Continental Shelf Act, 1968 (No. 14 of 1968), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Continental Shelf (Designated Areas) Order,
- The area set out in the Schedule to this Order is hereby designated as an area within which the rights of the State outside the territorial seas over the sea bed and subsoil for the purpose of exploring such sea bed and subsoil and exploiting their natural resources may be exercised. SCHEDULE. The area bounded by a line joining the following co-ordinates:
