  1. INFECTIOUS DISEASES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS,
  2. The Minister for Health in exercise

the powers conferred on him by sections 5 , 29 and 31

the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28

1947), hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1. In these Regulations the expression "the Principal Regulations" means the Infectious Diseases Regulations, 1948 ( S.I. No. 99

1948 ). 2. The Second Schedule

the Principal Regulations shall be amended by the insertion under "Influenzal pneumonia"

"Lassa fever " and by the insertion under "Puerperal sepsis"

"Rabies". 3. Article 8

the Principal Regulations shall be amended by the insertion before "tuberculosis"

"lassa fever,". 4. Article 9

the Principal Regulations shall be amended by the insertion before "paratyphoid A"

"lassa fever,". 5. Article 11

the Principal Regulations shall be amended by the insertion before "paratyphoid A"

"lassa fever, rabies,". 6. Sub-article

(1)

Article 17

the Principal Regulations shall be amended by the insertion before "plague"

"lassa fever,". 7. Sub-article
