(10)of the Finance Act, 1976 (No. 16 of 1976), hereby order as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1976 (Section 42) (Appointed Day) Order,
  3. The 6th day of December, 1976, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 42 of the Finance Act, 1976 (No. 16 of 1976), shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal this 30th day of November,
  4. RICHIE RYAN, Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. Section 42 of the Finance Act, 1976 provides for the introduction, on such day as the Minister for Finance may appoint by order, of the duty rate of 10p a gallon imposed by Section 41 of the Finance Act, 1976 for gaseous hydrocarbons in liquid form intended to be used for combustion in the engine of a motor vehicle and provides the legal and administrative framework necessary to implement the duty. This order appoints the 6th day of December, 1976 as that day.
