COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (OFFICERS' TRAVELLING EXPENSES AND MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE AND EXPENSES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1976. I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 28 of the Agriculture Act, 1931 (No. 8 of 1931), and section 6 of the Agriculture (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 17 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby make the following regulations: 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) (Amendment) Regulations, 1976.
(2)The Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 to 1975, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 to
  2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January,
  4. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.
  5. In these Regulations'— "the Regulations of 1975" means the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) (Amendment) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 186 of 1975 ).
  6. The Schedule to the Committees of Agriculture (Officers' Travelling Expenses and Maintenance Allowance and Expenses) Regulations, 1965 ( S.I. No. 22 of 1965 ), shall have effect as if— ( a ) in paragraph
(4)(
  1. i)(e), "£0.107" were substituted for "£0.97" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975) and "£0.056" were substituted for "£0.047" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975), ( b ) in paragraph 4 (
  2. i)(f), "£0.121" were substituted for "£0.109" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975) and "£0.063" were substituted for "£0.052" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975), and ( c ) in paragraph 4 (
  3. i)(g), "£0.143" were substituted for "£0.129" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975) and "£0.072" were substituted for "£0.060" (inserted by the Regulations of 1975). and the said paragraphs, as so amended are set out in the Table to this Regulation. TABLE 4.
(1)( e ) A rate of 0.107 pounds per mile for milage up to four thousand per year and 0.056 pounds per mile for mileage in excess of four thousand per year in respect of the use of a motor-car which the horse-power is less than ten, ( f ) A rate of 0.121 pounds per mile for mileage up to four thousand per year and 0.063 pounds per mile for mileage in excess of four thousand per year in respect of the use of a motor-car of which the horse-power is not less than ten and less than twelve, and ( g ) a rate of 0.143 pounds per mile for mileage up to four thousand per year and 0.072 pounds per mile for mileage in excess of four thousand per year in respect of the use of a motor-car of not less than twelve horse-power.
