No. 84/1977 - Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) (Provisional Duty on Hardboard) Order, 1977. AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 84 of 1977. IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (DUMPING AND SUBSIDIES) (PROVISIONAL DUTY ON HARDBOARD) ORDER, 1977. WHEREAS during an investigation by An Coimisiún Dumpála under section 7 of the Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1968 (No. 11 of 1968), in relation to goods of the kind specified in Article 2 of the Order following, that Commission recommended to the Minister for Industry and Commerce that a provisional duty at the rates specified in the said Article 2 be imposed for a period of six months on goods of the kind aforesaid: NOW, I, Justin Keating, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13 of the said Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1968 , hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) (Provisional Duty on Hardboard) Order, 1977. 2.
(1)A provisional duty at the rates specified in paragraph
(2)of this Article shall be charged, levied and paid on goods of the following description that are imported into the State between the 25th day of March, 1977, and the 24th day of September, 1977, that is to say, on hardboard that is classified at tariff code numbers 4809-614, 4809-622, 4809-630, 4809-638, 4809-646 and 4809-654 in the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 200) (Customs and Excise Duties and Form of Tariff) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 220 of 1972 ), and which originate in, or are exported from, Czechoslovakia or Poland.
(2)The duty imposed by this Order shall be at the following rates, that is to say— (
- a)in the case of hardboard which originates in, or is exported from, Czechoslovakia, at the rate of £11.00 per 100 square metres, or (
- b)in the case of hardboard which originates in, or is exported from, Poland, at the rate of £10.00 per 100 square metres. 3. For the purposes of this Order, the country of origin of goods shall be determined in accordance with the rules of origin contained in Council Regulation (EEC) 802/68* of the 27th day of June, 1968. *OJ No. L148, 28/6/1968, p. 1. 4. The duty imposed by this Order is hereby placed under the care and management of the Revenue Commissioners. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 22nd day of March, 1977. JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order provides for the imposition for a period of six months of provisional duties as follows on hardboard:— Originating in Czechoslovakia— £11.00 per 100 sq. metres. Originating in Poland— £10.00 per 100 sq. metres.
