AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 185 of 1978. PRIVATE WATER SUPPLIES AND SEWERAGE FACILITIES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1978. The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 2 and 3 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1962 (No. 26 of 1962) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Water Supplies and Sewerage Facilities (Amendment) Regulations, 1978. 2. In these Regulations— "Principal Regulations" means the Private Water Supplies and Sewerage Facilities Regulations, 1963 ( S.I. No. 117 of 1963 ); "1972 Regulations" means the Private Water Supplies and Sewerage Facilities (Amendment) Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1972 ). 3. Article 5 of the Principal Regulations, as amended by article 3 of the 1972 Regulations, and article 5A of the Principal Regulations, as inserted by article 4 of the 1972 Regulations, shall not apply as respects work commenced on or after the 1st day of November, 1977. 4. The following article is hereby inserted in the Principal Regulations after article 5A— "5B Notwithstanding the provisions of articles 4, 5 and 5A of these Regulations, where work on the installation of water supply or sewerage facilities or of a combined water supply and sewerage facility commences on or after the 1st day of November, 1977, a grant made under the Act by the Minister shall not exceed two-thirds of the amount estimated by the Minister to be the cost of the work, subject to the appropriate maxima set out in the following table: Type of Installation Maximum Grant by Minister Water Supply: £ Individual 200 Group 300 for each dwelling-house served. Sewerage: Individual 150 Group 250 for each dwelling-house served. Water Supply and Sewerage: Individual 350 Group 550 for each dwelling-house served. These Regulations amend the Private Water Supplies and Sewerage Facilities Regulations, 1963 to provide for increases in the maximum grants payable by the Minster for the Environment, for the installation of water supplies and sewerage facilities in dwelling-houses, where work commences on or after 1st November, 1977.
