McLAUGHLIN, a Deputy Commissioner of the Garda Síochána and being authorised under section 8

(2)of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), to exercise or perform all of the powers or duties of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána during the temporary absence of the said Commissioner, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 90 (as amended by section 6 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968)) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) on the said Commissioner, and with the consent of the Minister for the Environment, and after consultation with the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Cork, hereby make the following bye-laws in respect of the area comprising the county borough of Cork:
  1. These bye-laws may be cited as the Cork Parking Bye-Laws,
  2. Bye-law 22 of the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1974 ( S.I. No. 249 of 1974 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "ten new pence" for "five new pence". GIVEN under my hand this 14th day of March,
  3. P. G. McLAUGHLIN, Deputy Commissioner of the Garda Síochána. The Minister for the Environment hereby consents to the making of the foregoing bye-laws. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment, this 29th day of May,
  4. SYLVESTER BARRETT, Minister for the Environment. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These bye-laws amend the Cork Parking Bye-Laws, 1974 ( S.I. No. 249 of 1974 ) in providing for an increase in the fee for parking disc from five new pence to ten new pence.
