DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS AND AREAS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1979. I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26
(1)of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas Order, 1979.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of February,
- The District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in columns
(3)and
(4)at reference number 205 in the First Schedule thereto, and in columns
(3)and
(4)at reference number 175 in the Second Schedule thereto, for "Ferbane" of "Cloghan". 3. The District Court (Districts) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 6 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in column
(3)of the First and Second Schedules thereto at reference number 8 for "Ferbane" of "Cloghan". 4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1970 ), is hereby amended by the substitution in column
(4)at reference number 8 for "Ferbane" of "Cloghan".
- Business transacted in the District Court which was initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated. This Order provides for the transfer of the venue for District Court sittings in the District Court Area of Ferbane from Ferbane to Cloghan and the changing of the name of the District Court Area to the District Court Area of Cloghan.
