AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 233 of 1979. LIMERICK HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS (ADDITIONAL LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS) ORDER, 1979. WHEREAS the Council of the county of Kerry has agreed to assist the Limerick Harbour Commissioners by making pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), a loan to the said Commissioners and providing the sum necessary for that purpose by borrowing: AND WHEREAS the Minister for Tourism and Transport is of opinion that the Council should have representation in the membership of the said Commissioners: NOW, I, PÁDRAIG FAULKNER, Minister for Tourism and Transport, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), as amended by the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ) (and as adapted by the Transport and Power (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 305 of 1977 )), and after consultation with the Minister for the Environment, hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Limerick Harbour Commissioners (Additional Local Authority Members) Order, 1979. 2. This Order shall have effect on and after the 7th day of July, 1979. 3. The council of the county of Kerry shall appoint two additional local authority members of the Limerick Harbour Commissioners. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 3rd day of July, 1979. The effect of this Order is to authorise Kerry County Council to appoint two additional local authority members to Limerick Harbour Commissioners.
