AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 272 of 1979. BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) ACT, 1979 (COMMENCEMENT AND RETURNS) ORDER, 1979. I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4
(2), 19 and 26
(2)of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (Commencement and Returns) Order,
- In this Order— "accountable persons" has the meaning assigned to it by section 12 of the Act; "the Act" means the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979).
- The 1st day of September, 1979, is hereby fixed as the day on which the provisions of the Act, other than the provisions thereof which are already in operation (that is to say sections 18, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26) shall come into operation. 4.
(1)The return required by section 4 of the Act to be furnished as respects milk shall be in the form set out in Part I of the Schedule to this Order which form shall be signed by the accountable person by whom the return is made (which accountable person shall also give the certificate contained therein).
(2)Where a return referred to in paragraph
(1)of this Article is amended, each amendment shall be initialled by the accountable person by whom the return is made and the declaration contained in the form set out in Part I of the Schedule to this Order shall be signed by such accountable person. 5.
(1)The return required by section 4 of the Act to be furnished as respects animals which are slaughtered shall be in the form set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Order and shall be signed by the accountable person by whom the return is made (which accountable person shall also give the certificate contained therein).
(2)Where a return referred to in paragraph
(1)of this Article is amended, each amendment shall be initialled by the accountable person by whom the return is made and the declaration contained in the form set out in Part II of the Schedule to this Order shall be signed by such accountable person. 6. A return required to be furnished by section 4 of the Act, whether as respects milk or animals slaughtered, shall be sent by post to the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Dublin 2. This Order commences the Sections of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 not already in operation with effect from 1 September 1979 and prescribes the form and manner of the returns to be furnished by persons paying levy.
