AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 276 of 1979. HOUSING (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT, 1979 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1979. The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 24
(3)of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 (No. 27 of 1979), hereby orders as follows:—
- This Order may be cited as the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 (Commencement) Order,
- Section 23
(1)of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 and the Schedule to that Act shall come into operation on the 9th day of August, 1979 for the purpose of effecting the repeal of the enactment specified in column
(2)of the Schedule to this Order to the extent specified in column
(3)of that Schedule. 3. Sections 1, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 23

(4)and section 24 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 shall come into operation generally on the 9th day of August, 1979. SCHEDULE Number and Year

EXPLANATORY NOTE This Order will bring into operation on 9th August, 1979 the provisions of sections 1, 13 to 17, 19 to 21, 23 and 24 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979 . The provisions of the Housing Act, 1966 are repealed to the extent specified in the Schedule to the Order. Section 3 of the 1979 Act is deemed to have come into operation on 1st January, 1979 by virtue of subsection
(4)of that section.
