MAXIMUM PRICES (PETROLEUM PRODUCTS) ORDER, 1979. The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), and the Industry and Commerce (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 306 of 1977 ), hereby orders as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) Order, 1979. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 14th day of March, 1979. 3. The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column

(2)of the Schedule to this Order at a particular reference may be sold shall, in the case of a delivery, pursuant to one or more sales, of 100 gallons or more of the product at a time, be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column
(3)of that Schedule at that particular reference. 4. The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column
(2)of the Schedule to this Order at any of the following references, that is to say 1 (a), 1 (b), 1 (c), 1 (f), 2 (a), 2 (b), 2 (c), 2 (f), 3 (a), 3 (b), 3 (c), 3 (e), 4 (a), 4 (b), 4 (c), 5 (a), 5 (b), 5 (c), 5 (f), 6 (a), 6 (b), 6 (c), 6 (f), 7 (a), 7 (b), 7 (c), may be sold shall, in the case of a delivery, pursuant to one or more sales of less than 100 gallons of the product at a time, be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column
(4)of that Schedule at that particular reference. 5. The Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 301 of 1978 ), is hereby revoked. SCHEDULE. This Order fixes the maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description set out in the Schedule to the Order may be sold in the case of deliveries of 100 gallons or more and the maximum price, inclusive of Value Added Tax, at which petrol and kerosene may be sold in the case of deliveries of less than 100 gallons (i.e. by retail).
