No. 145 of 1980. AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF EXPORT TO IRAN) ORDER, 1980. I, RAY MacSHARRY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947) and the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1977 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Regulation of Export to Iran) Order, 1980. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of May, 1980. 3. In this Order "the Act of 1947" means the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947). 4. The exportation to Iran, save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Act of 1947, of any agricultural products to which this Order applies is hereby prohibited. 5. This Order applies to agricultural products other than those specified in the Schedule to the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ) (as amended by the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 )) and other than foodstuffs and fishery products. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 21st day of May, 1980. RAY MacSHARRY, Minister for Agriculture. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order prohibits the export to Iran, except under licence, of all agricultural products, except foodstuffs, coming within the scope of export control legislation administered by the Minister for Agriculture.
