RACECOURSE (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1980. In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27 of The Racing Board and Racecourses Act, 1945 (No. 16 of 1945) as amended by Section 3 of The Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 (No. 11 of 1975), and the Agriculture (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1980 (S.I. No. 80 of 1980), the Racing Board with the consent of Lorcan Allen, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, hereby make the following Regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1980. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 30th day of June, 1980. 3. The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be seven and one-half per cent. of such course bet. 4. The Racecourse (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 130 of 1975 ), are hereby revoked. GIVEN under the Seal of the Racing Board this Tenth day of June, 1980. PATRICK W. McGRATH, Chairman of the Board. PATRICK WALSH, Secretary of the Board. I hereby consent to the above Regulations. LORCAN ALLEN, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture. Dated this 12th day of June, 1980. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of the Regulations is that from 30th June, 1980 a levy at the rate of seven and one-half per cent. will be payable to The Racing Board on course bets at authorized racecourses.
