I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 35 of the Registry of Deeds (Ireland) Act, 1832, as adapted by the Registry of Deeds (Ireland) Act, 1832 (Adaptation) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 281 of 1956 ), and section 9 of the Land Transfer (Ireland) Act, 1848, as adaptedby the Land Transfer (Ireland) Act, 1848 (Adaptation) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 280 of 1956 ), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Registry of Deeds (Fees) Order, 1980. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1980. 4. In lieu of the fees specified in the Schedule to the Registry of Deeds (Fees) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1974 ), the fees specified in the second column of the Schedule to this Order shall be charged in the Office of the Registrar of Deeds in respect of the items specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order. SCHEDULE Item Fee £ 1. REGISTRATION OF MEMORIALS Upon every memorial registered 8.00 2. CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION For every certificate of registration beyond the first or special certificate of registraion 0.50 3. COMMON SEARCH UPON NAMES MADE BY OFFICE UNDER A REQUISITION 3.00 4. CONTINUATION OF A COMMON SEARCH 0.50 5. NEGATIVE SEARCH UPON NAMES MADE BY OFFICE UNDER A REQUISITION 6.00 6. CONTINUATION AND/OR CLOSING OF NEGATIVE SEARCH 1.00 7. SEARCH BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC (
  4. a)General search without limitation, each day by every person 6.00 (
  5. b)Search upon names only each day by every person for every different name for any period of ten years. 0.50 (
  6. c)Search upon lands only each day by every person for every different county, city or corporation town for any period of ten years 0.50 (

FOR ATTENDANCE OF OFFICER TO PRODUCE MEMORIAL OR OTHER DOCUMENT IN COURT Each attendance 15.00 and travelling and subsistence expenses as actually incurred. This Order, which comes into operation on the 1st October, 1980, provides for a revised scale of fees to be charged in the Registry of Deeds. This Order replaces the Registry of Deeds (Fees) Order, 1974.
