UNDERSIZED SEA-FISH (LOBSTERS) ORDER, 1980. I, PATRICK POWER, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 225 and 230 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ), as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 ), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This order may be cited as the Undersized Sea-fish (Lobsters) Order, 1980.
(2)This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of January,
- Any lobster, the body-shell of which is less than 85 millimetres in length when measured from the rear of either eye-socket to the rear of the body-shell (along a line parallel to the centreline of the body) shall, for the purposes of Chapter III of Part XIII of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), be undersized.
- The Undersized Sea-fish (Lobsters) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1963 ), is hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of September,
