AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (EXPORTER'S LICENCES) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1980. I, RAY MacSHARRY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 51 of, and Rule 2 (as amended by section 4
(1)of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)), of the Schedule to, the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), and the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1977 ), hereby make the following regulations, with respect to which pursuant to section 4
(2)of the said Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 , a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licenses) (Fees) Regulations,
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January,
- The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.
- For the purposes of the Schedule to the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930) (as amended by section 4
(1)of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)) the appropriate sum for— ( a ) a beef exporter's license shall be £1; ( b ) a pork exporter's license shall be 0.01 new pence; and ( c ) a mutton exporter's license shall be 17 new pence.
- The Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licenses) (Fees) Regulations, 1978 ( S.I. No. 53 of 1978 ), are hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 19th day of December,
- RAY MacSHARRY, Minister for Agriculture. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations reduce as from 1 January 1981 the fee payable by fresh meat exporters for veterinary examination of pigs in accordance with the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 . The fees payable for cattle and sheep remain unchanged.
