FOREIGN POST AMENDMENT (NO. 22) WARRANT, 1981. I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 22) Warrant, 1981.
(2)This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
  1. In this Warrant— "the Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Post Warrant, 1949 ( S.I. No. 267 of 1949 ; "The Warrant of 1980" means the Foreign Post Amendment (No. 21) Warrant, 1980 ( S.I. No. 202 of 1980 ).
  2. The First Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 3 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.
  3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Warrant.
  4. The Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 5 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Warrant.
  5. The Foreign Post Amendment (No. 5) Warrant, 1957 ( S.I. No. 58 of 1957 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph
(1)of Regulation 5, inserted by Regulation 7 of the Warrant of 1980; "

Air letter: As per form approved by the Minister. Air Mail Packet: Postcard: as for item 2 in this column. Other Packet: as for item 1 in this column.   7. Late Fee Postal Packet A fee (in addition to the postage) not exceeding 4p as may be prescribed.
  8. Customs Clearance Fee on incoming postal packet liable to Customs Duty A fee of 48p per packet.
  9. Express postal packet — outgoing A fee not exceeding 19p as may be prescribed. Express postal packet — incoming At the scale of fees in force for express delivery of Inland postal packets.
  10. Ordinary registration A fee of 48p per packet. Late-fee registration A fee (in addition to the ordinary registration fee) not exceeding 7p as may be prescribed.
  11. Advice of delivery A fee of 18p per registered postal packet.
