FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 15) WARRANT, 1981. I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969) and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:— 1.
(1)This Warrant may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 15) Warrant, 1981.
(2)This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
- In this Warrant— "the Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 ); "the Warrant of 1980" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 14) Warrant, 1980 ( S.I. No. 203 of 1980 ).
- The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.
- The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 6 of the Warrant of 1980) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Warrant. "FIRST SCHEDULE Customs Clearance Fee: On each parcel where customs duty is payable 60p Outgoing Express Delivery Fee 38p Advice of Delivery Fee on outgoing insured parcel 18p " "SECOND SCHEDULE Cash-on-Delivery Parcels Cash-on-Delivery Fee 120p on outgoing parcel " GIVEN under my hand, this 27th day of March,
- ALBERT REYNOLDS. The Minister for Finance hereby consents to the provisions of the foregoing Warrant. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Finance, this 27th day of March,
- GENE FITZGERALD. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Warrant applies to the Foreign Parcel Post service and comes into operation on the 1st April,
- It authorises increases in fees charged for Customs Clearance and the Cash-on-Delivery service.
