PARLIAMENTARY OFFICES (ALLOWANCES) ORDER, 1981. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 8A of the Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices Act, 1938 (No. 38 of 1938) (inserted by section 11 of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1973 (No. 22 of 1973)), as amended by section 7 of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial, Parliamentary and Judicial Offices (Amendment) Act, 1977 (No. 29 of 1977), hereby make the following Order. 1. This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Offices (Allowances) Order, 1981. 2. In this Order— "the Act of 1938" means the Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices Act, 1938 (No. 38 of 1938); "the Act of 1973" means the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1973 (No. 22 of 1973). 3. The annual sums payable under sections 9A (inserted by section 13 of the Act of 1973) and 10 (as amended by section 14 of the Act of 1973) of the Act of 1938 by way of allowance for expenses shall, with effect from the 1st day of January, 1981, be and be deemed to have been— (
  4. i)in case any such sum is payable under subsection

(1)of the said section 9A, £55,318, (
  1. ii)in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (
  2. a)of subsection
(2)of the said section 9A, £38,723, (iii) in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (b) of subsection
(2)of the said section 9A, £16,595, (
  1. iv)in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (
  2. a)of subsection
(3)of the said section 9A, £27,659, (
  1. v)in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (
  2. b)of the said subsection
(3), £27,659, divided in the manner specified in that paragraph, (vi) in case any such sum is payable under subsection
(1)of the said section 10, £138,296, (vii) in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (a) of subsection
(2)of the said section 10, £110,745, (viii) in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (b) of the last-mentioned subsection
(2), £55,427, (
  1. ix)in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (
  2. a)of subsection
(3)of the said section 10, £69,148, and (
  1. x)in case any such sum is payable under paragraph (
  2. b)of the last-mentioned subsection
