GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY BOARD (DISSOLUTION) ORDER, 1981. The Minister for Transport, after due consultation as required by section 20
(2)of the Great Northern Railway Act, 1958 (No. 20 of 1958), and being satisfied that any request made by Córas Iompair Éireann to the Great Northern Railway Board has been complied with and that there are no further requirements to be complied with, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 20 of that Act, by the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and by the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1980 ), hereby orders as follows— 1. This Order may be cited as the Great Northern Railway Board (Dissolution) Order, 1981. 2. There is no reason for the continued existence of the Great Northern Railway Board. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Transport, this 13th day of January, 1981. D. B. FITZPATRICK. A person authorised under section 15
(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries Act 1924 to authenticate the Seal of the said Minister. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to dissolve the Great Northern Railway Board.
