HEALTH SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1981. The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970 ), hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1981.
(2)In these Regulations the "Regulations of 1979" means the Health Services Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 109 of 1979 ). 2. Article 3 of the Regulations of 1979 (as amended by article 3 of the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 93 of 1980 )) is hereby amended by the substitution of "£8,500" for "£7,000" in sub-article
(2)(a).
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of June,
- GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health this 13th day of May,
- MICHAEL WOODS, Minister for Health. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations raise the income limit, above which there is a restriction on the extent to which services are available under sections 52
(1), 56
(2), 62 and 63 of the Health Act, 1970 , from £7,000 to £8,500, with effect from the 1st June, 1981.
