AmendmentsLeasuithe The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 of the Fire Services Act, 1981 (No. 30 of 1981), hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Fire Services Act, 1981 (Commencement) Order, 1981. 2.
(1)The Fire Services Act, 1981 , other than section 24, shall come into operation generally on the first day of January, 1982.
(2)Section 24 of the Fire Services Act, 1981 shall come into operation generally on the first day of April,

This Order brings into operation on 1st January, 1982 all provisions of the Fire Services Act, 1981 , other than section 24 of the Act, which relates to the giving of advance notice to fire authorities by applicants for certain licences, which will come into operation on 1st April,
