HARBOUR RATES (BALTIMORE AND SKIBBEREEN HARBOUR) ORDER, 1981. I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and the Tourism and Transport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 11 of 1980 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Baltimore and Skibbereen Harbour) Order, 1981.
(2)This Order shall come into operation in the 19th day of March,
- The rates set out in the Schedule to this Order are hereby fixed as the maximum rates to be charged by the Baltimore and Skibbereen Harbour Commissioners in respect of Baltimore and Skibbereen Harbour.
- Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Baltimore and Skibbereen Harbour Commissioners on subjects of charge set out in the Schedules to this Order, or the basis on which, or the method by which, such rates are computed, is hereby revoked. - For every vessel (other than fishing vessels) entering the harbour, for each entry £1.00
- For every fishing boat, or other vessel engaged in fishing, of 5 tons net register tonnage or upwards, entering the harbour, an annual sum, payable in advance, of £1.00 SECOND SCHEDULE. Tonnage Rates Ref. No. Description of Charge Rate
- For every vessel (other than fishing vessels) entering the harbour, for each entry, per net register ton (When any such vessel does not break bulk or take in cargo, one half the above rate) £0.04
- For every fishing boat or other vessel of 15 tons net register tonnage or upwards entering and using the harbour for the purpose of fishing, an annual sum, payable in advance of £3.00
- For every fishing boat or other vessel of 15 tons net register tonnage or upwards entering and using the harbour for the purpose of fishing and in respect of which the annual sum specified at reference number 2 is not paid, on each occasion of entering the harbour, a sum of £2.00
- For every fishing boat or other vessel of 5 tons net register tonnage or over but less than 15 tons net register tonnage entering and using the harbour for the purpose of fishing, an annual sum, payable in advance, of £1.00
- For every fishing boat or other vessel of 5 tons net register tonnage or over but less than 15 tons net register tonnage using the harbour and in respect of which the annual sum specified at reference number 4 is not paid, on each occasion of entering the harbour, a sum of £0.50
- For every registered fishing boat or other vessel of under 5 tons net register tonnage using the harbour an annual sum, payable in advance, of £1.00
- For every unregistered boat or other vessel using the harbour, an annual sum, payable in advance of £0.50
- For every boat or other vessel of under 15 tons net register tonnage using the harbour for the purpose of carrying passengers or goods, but not for the purpose of fishing, an annual sum, payable in advance, of £3.00
- For every vessel entering or using the harbour for the purpose of carrying fresh fish— (a) for the first 160 tons, per ton (b) for every subsequent ton, per ton £0.02 £0.01 THIRD SCHEDULE Rates on Goods shipped or unshipped, received or delivered within the limits of the Harbour £
- Bricks, tiles and slates per 1,000 0.10
- Calves, pigs, sheep and lambs each 0.04
- Cattle, bulls, cows, oxen and horses each 0.10
- Clover, turnip and other seeds per tonne 0.20
- Coals per tonne 0.10
- Deals per 120 0.20
- Fish, dried, salted or in pickle per tonne 0.20
- Fish, fresh (other than shellfish or salmon) per tonne 0.25
- Shelfish and salmon per tonne 0.50
- Flour and meal per tonne 0.10
- Guano and all other artificial manures per tonne 0.05
- Gunpowder per 45kg. 0.03
- Ice per tonne 0.05
- Iron and lead per tonne 0.10
- Malt and grain per tonne 0.20
- Potatoes per tonne 0.10
- Salt per tonne 0.05
- Timber of all kinds per 1.4cu. m. 0.05
