LICENSED SALMON DEALER'S REGISTER REGULATIONS, 1982. I, BRENDAN DALY, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 and section 163 (as amended by section 15 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 31 of 1962), and section 6 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980 )) of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), section 55 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 , and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 )), and after consultation with the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations:— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Licensed Salmon Dealer's Register Regulations, 1982.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1982. 2.
(1)The register required by section 163 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959) (as amended by section 15 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 31 of 1962), and section 6 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980 )) to be kept by the holder of a salmon dealer's licence shall be in the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations and the particulars to be entered therein shall be those specified in the said Schedule.
(2)Where the register referred to in paragraph
(1)of this Regulation is in the form of a book, the name and address required to be specified at (
- a)and (
- b)in the Schedule to these Regulations may, in lieu of being shown in the manner indicated in the said Schedule, be shown on the inside front cover of the book. 3. The Salmon Levy, Licensed Salmon Dealers' Registers and Salmon and Trout Records, Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 142 of 1980 ), and the Sales of Salmon (Attributable Price) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 143 of 1980 ), are hereby revoked. SCHEDULE Register of Purchases, Receipts, Sales, Exportations, Disposals and Removals of Salmon (including sea trout) or Trout (including rainbow trout) under Section 163 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 as amended. These Regulations prescribe the form of the register to be kept by licensed salmon dealers. As well they revoke the Salmon Levy, Licensed Salmon Dealers' Registers and Salmon and Trout Records, Regulations, 1980, and the Sales of Salmon (Attributable Price) Regulations, 1980, which specified arrangements for payment of the levy on every first or only sale of salmon.
