I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), as adapted by the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1977 .), hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Transit of Animals (No. 2) Order, 1982.
(2)The collective citation "the Transit of Animals Orders, 1927 to 1982" shall include this Order.
(3)This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of January, 1983. 2. Article 3
(2)of the Transit of Animals Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 120 of 1982 .) is hereby amended by— ( a ) the substitution, in paragraph (
  1. a)of "2.20" for "1.75"; ( b ) the substitution, in paragraph (
  2. b)of "£2.20" for "£1.75"; ( c ) the substitution, in paragraph (
  3. c)of "£0.38" for "£0.30"; ( d ) the substitution, in paragraph (
  4. d)of "£0.72" for "£0.50"; and the said Article 3
(2), as so amended, is set out in the Table to this Article. TABLE "
(2)A fee payable under this Article shall be calculated by reference to the number of animals to which it relates and in accordance with such of the following rates as is or are appropriate: ( a ) in case the relevant certificate relates to cattle, a rate of £2.20 per head of such cattle, ( b ) in case such certificate relates to horses, a rate of £2.20 per such horse, ( c ) in case such certificate relates to sheep, a rate of £0.38 per such sheep, and ( d ) in case such certificate relates to pigs, a rate of £0.72 per such pig". GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 22nd day of December, 1982. AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order specifies the revised fees payable as from 4 January 1983 for certificates issued in respect of the veterinary inspection of livestock prior to exportation to places other than Northern Ireland, including certificates issued in respect of livestock exported via Northern Ireland to other destinations.
