MONEY ORDER AMENDMENT (No. 27) REGULATIONS, 1982. I, JOHN WILSON, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of the Post Office Act, 1908, section 3 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act , 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations: 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Money Order Amendment (No. 27) Regulations, 1982. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1982. 3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. 4. In these Regulations:— "the Principal Regulations" means the Money Order Regulations, 1903; "the Regulations of 1981" means the Money Order Amendment (No. 26) Regulations 1981, ( S.I. No. 310 of 1981 ). 5. Regulation 18
(1)of the Principal Regulations, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following tables for Tables A, B and C (inserted by Regulation 5 of the Regulations of 1981) which set out the poundage payable in respect of money orders: " Poundage A In respect of inland money orders: for an amount not exceeding £50.00 ... ... 90p for an amount exceeding £50 but not exceeding £100.00 130p B In respect of foreign money orders: for an amount not exceeding £25.00 ... ... 103p for an amount exceeding £25.00 but not exceeding £50.00 ... ... ... ... ... 216p C In respect of supplementary services for correcting or altering the name of the remitter or payee ... ... ... ... ... 12p for stopping payment ... ... ... ... 22p for the issue of a duplicate money order (including stopping payment of the original order) ... 43p for the renewal of a void money order ... ... 43p for an advice or certificate of payment of an inland money order ... ... ... ... ... 10p for an advice or certificate of payment of a foreign money order ... ... ... ... ... 10p "
- Regulation 25 of the Principal Regulations, as amended by Regulation 6 of the Regulations of 1981 is hereby amended by the substitution of "a supplementary fee of four new pence" for "a supplementary fee of three new pence".
- Regulation 26 of the Principal Regulations (inserted by Regulation 7 of the Regulations of 1981) is hereby amended by the substitution of "fifteen new pence" for "twelve new pence". GIVEN under my Hand, this 19th day of March,
