AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 72 of 1982. ROAD TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS) (COUNTY OF CARLOW) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1982. The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 45 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 46 of the said Act as amended by section 25 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Carlow) (Amendment) Regulations, 1982.
(2)The Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Carlow) Regulations, 1978 ( S.I. No. 121 of 1978 ) and these Regulations shall be construed together and may be cited as the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Carlow) Regulations, 1978 to
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 5th day of April,
- The Third Schedule to the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Carlow) Regulations, 1978, is hereby amended by the addition after reference 2 of the following: "
- The following road at Mortarstown:— The Carlow-Kilkenny road between a point 1,000 metres south-west of the boundary of the urban district of Carlow and a point 1,625 metres south-west of the said boundary." GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment this 26th day of March,
- RAPHAEL P. BURKE, Minister for the Environment. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Carlow) Regulations, 1978 ( S.I. No. 121 of 1978 ) by prescribing a speed limit of 40 miles per hour on a section of the Carlow-Kilkenny road at Mortarstown.
