DISTRICT COURT DISTRICTS (DUBLIN) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1982. I, SEÁN DOHERTY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts (Dublin) (Amendment) Order, 1982.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May,
- The Dublin Metropolitan District is hereby varied by the addition thereto of the following areas— ( a ) all of those areas of the county borough of Dublin which, immediately before the commencement of this Order, did not form part of the Dublin Metropolitan District, ( b ) all of those areas of the county of Dublin, other than the District Electoral Division of Rathmichael, which, immediately before such commencement, did not form part of the Dublin Metropolitan District, ( c ) all of those areas of the borough of Dún Laoghaire, which immediately before such commencement, did not form part of the Dublin Metropolitan District, and ( d ) the District Electoral Divisions of Celbridge, Leixlip and Donaghcumper, in the county of Kildare, and the District Court Districts (Dublin) Order, 1945 (S. R. & O., No. 279 of 1945), as amended by the District Court Districts (Dublin) (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 300 of 1970 ), shall be construed accordingly.
- Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had not been made. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 5th day of April,
- SEÁN DOHERTY, Minister for Justice. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order together with the District Court (Districts) (Amendment) Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 90 of 1982 ) and the District Court (Areas) (Amendment) Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 89 of 1982 ) is to transfer to the Dublin Metropolitan District (a) all of those parts of the County and County Borough of Dublin and the Borough of Dún Laoghaire, with the exception of the District Electoral Division of Rathmichael, which were not, before the making of these Orders, part of that District and (b) the District Electoral Divisions of Celbridge, Donaghcumper and Leixlip in County Kildare.
