DISTRICT COURT (DISTRICTS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1982. I, SEÁN DOHERTY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court (Districts) (Amendment) Order, 1982.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of May,
- The District Court (Districts) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 6 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by the deletion: (i) of the matter at reference number 11 in the First and Second Schedules, and (ii) in column
(3)at reference number 10 in the First and Second Schedules of "Balbriggan,", "Howth,", "Lucan,", ",Swords". 3. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had not been made. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 5th day of April, 1982. SEÁN DOHERTY, Minister for Justice. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order together with the District Court Districts (Dublin) (Amendment) Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 88 of 1982 ) and the District Court (Areas) (Amendment) Order, 1982 (No. 89 of 1982) is (
- a)to abolish District Court District No. 11 and to transfer the area which comprised that District to the Dublin Metropolitan District; (
- b)to abolish the District Court Areas of Balbriggan, Howth, Lucan and Swords and to transfer the areas of which they were comprised from District No. 10 to the Dublin Metropolitan District and (
- c)to transfer certain parts of the Bray District Court Area in District Court District No. 16 to the Dublin Metropolitan District.
