SOCIAL WELFARE (DEATH GRANT) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1982. The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 3 and 108 of the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1981 (No. 1 of 1981 ), makes the following Regulations:— 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Death Grant) (Amendment) Regulations, 1982.
(2)These Regulations and the Social Welfare (Death Grant) Regulations, 1971 to 1981 may be cited together as the Social Welfare (Death Grant) (Amendment) Regulations, 1971 to
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
- The following Schedule shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Social Welfare (Death Grant) Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 98 of 1971 ). " SCHEDULE Number, or Average Number per year, of qualifying contributions or credited contributions Qualified Child under the age of five years Qualified Child aged five years or over A person other than those mentioned in columns

EXPLANATORY NOTE Consequent on the increase in the maximum rates of death grant effected by the Social Welfare Act, 1982 , these Regulations provide for increased reduced rates of death grant to be paid where the contributions conditions are only partially satisfied. The new rates are payable from 1 April
