No. 133 of 1983. RESTRICTION OF IMPORTS (COPPER TUBES FROM SPAIN) ORDER, 1983. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Restriction of Imports Act, 1962 (No. 20 of 1962), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Restriction of Imports (Copper Tubes from Spain) Order, 1983. 2.
(1)A reference in this Order to a tariff heading shall be taken to be a reference to that tariff heading in the Annex to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 950/681 of the 28th day of June, 1968, as amended by Council Regulation (EEC) No. 3000/822 of the 19th day of October, 1982, and by any subsequent Regulation made by an Institution of the European Communities. 1O.J. (2)The particulars stated in column
(2)of the Schedule to this Order are inserted solely to facilitate identification of the goods referred to at the tariff heading number mentioned in column
(1)of that Schedule opposite the insertion in column
(2), and, accordingly, nothing contained in column
(2)shall affect the construction or limit or control the operation of any provision of this Order (including the mention of the tariff heading number in column
(1)). 3. The importation into the State of the goods specified at a tariff heading number mentioned in column
(1)of the Schedule to this Order and which are manufactured or produced in, or are consigned from, Spain is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence issued by the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism. SCHEDULE. Tariff Heading

(2)ex 74.07 Solid drawn copper tubes and pipes of unalloyed copper, straight and with walls of uniform thickness and of a wall thickness not exceeding 3.175 mm and with an internal diameter not exceeding 57.15 mm. The effect of this Order is to prohibit, save under a licence issued by the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism, the import of certain copper tubes which are manufactured or produced in, or are consigned from Spain.
