BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) REGULATIONS, 1983. I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2
(2)and 19
(1)of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), hereby make the following regulations: 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1983.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January,
- The amount of levy payable under section 2 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), shall be— ( a ) as regards milk, 0.3 new pence per gallon, ( b ) as regards animals slaughtered or exported live, £1.90 per animal.
- The Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1981 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1981 ), are hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 21st day of December,
- AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations which come into effect from 1 January, 1984 provide for the payment of a levy on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live.
