No. 335/1984 - European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) (Amendment) Regulations, 1984. AmendmentsLeasuithe I, RUAIRI QUINN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive No. 83/467/EEC of 29 July 1983a hereby make the following Regulations: a O.J. No. L257, 16.9.83, p. 1-33. 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 1979 to 1984.
(2)The European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 1979 to 1983, and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 1979 to 1984.
(3)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1986. 2.
(1)Regulation 2
(1)of the European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 383 of 1979 ), is hereby amended by:— ( a ) the substitution of the following definition for the definition of "Annex 1": " 'Annex 1' means Annex 1 (inserted by Commission Directive No. 76/907/EEC of 14 July, 1976 1) to the directive, as amended by the Commission Directives specified in paragraph

- ( b ) the substitution of the following definition for the definition of "Annex II": "'Annex II' means Annex II (inserted by Commission Directive No. 83/467/EEC of 29 July, 1983 2) to the directive;"; 2 O.J. No. L257, 16.9.83, p. 1-
- ( c ) the substitution of the following definition for the definition of "Annex III": "'Annex III' means Annex III (inserted by the said Commission Directive No. 76/907/EEC) as amended by the said Commission Directive No. 83/467/EEC, to the Directive;"; ( d ) the substitution of the following definition for the definition of "Annex IV": " 'Annex IV' means Annex IV (inserted by the said Commission Directive No. 76/907/EEC) as amended by the said Commission Directive No. 83/467/EEC, to the directive;"; ( e ) the substitution of the following definition for the definition of "the directive": " 'the directive' means Council Directive No. 67/548/EEC of 27 June, 1967 3, as amended by the Council Directives and the Commission Directive specified in paragraph
