TAOISEACH (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1984. The Government, on the request of the Taoiseach and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2

(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Taoiseach (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1984. 2. The powers and duties of the Taoiseach— ( a ) in relation to the Public Record Office of Ireland, under the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 , and the Acts specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order, ( b ) in relation to the State Paper Office, under the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 , and the Public Records (Ireland) Act, 1867, ( c ) in relation to— (
  1. i)the National Gallery of Ireland, and (
  2. ii)the National Museum of Science and Art, under the Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 , and the Acts specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order, ( d ) under the Documents and Pictures (Regulation of Export) Act, 1945 , ( e ) under the National Monuments Acts, 1930 and 1954, and ( f ) under the Arts Acts, 1951 and 1973, are hereby delegated to Ted Nealon, Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach. SCHEDULE Part I Acts powers and duties under which in relation to the Public Record Office of Ireland are delegated from the Taoiseach to the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach. ___________________ Public Records (Ireland) Act, 1867. Public Records (Ireland) Act, 1867, Amendment Act, 1875. Parochial Records Act, 1876. Part II Acts powers and duties under which in relation to the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Science and Art are delegated from the Taoiseach to the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach. ___________________ An Act to provide for the Establishment of a National Gallery of Paintings, Sculpture, and the Fine Arts, for the Care of a Public Library, and the Erection of a Public Museum, in Dublin (1854, c. 99). An Act to amend an Act of last Session, to provide for the Establishment of a National Gallery of Paintings, Sculpture, and the Fine Arts, for the Care of a Public Library, and the Erection of a Public Museum, in Dublin (1855, c. 44). An Act to amend the Acts for the Establishment of a National Gallery in Dublin (1865, c. 71). Dublin Science and Art Museum Act, 1877. National Gallery of Ireland Act, 1928 .
