DISTRICT COURT AREAS AND DISTRICTS (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1984. I, MICHAEL J. NOONAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas and Districts (Amendment) Order, 1984.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
  2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).
  3. The District Court Area of Ballybunion mentioned at reference number 105 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order and reference number 92 in the Second Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby abolished.
  4. Article 3 of the District Court (Variation of Days) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 74 of 1968 ), is hereby revoked.
  5. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by— (a) the deletion of the material opposite reference number 105, and (b) the insertion at reference number 114 in column
(5)thereof of "Astee, Ballyconry, Beal, Gullane, Killehenny, Lisselton and Urlee" after "Trienearagh". 6. The Second Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by— (
  1. a)the deletion of the material opposite reference number 92, and (
  2. b)the insertion at reference number 99 in column
(5)thereof of "Astee, Ballyconry, Beal, Gullane, Killehenny, Lisselton and Urlee" after "Trienearagh". 7. The District Court (Districts) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 6 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by the deletion in column
(3)at reference number 13 of "Ballybunion", in the First and Second Schedule thereto. 8. The District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1970 ), is hereby amended by the deletion in column
(4)at reference number 13 of "Ballybunion" and "105", in the Schedule thereto.
  1. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated. This Order provides for the abolition of the District Court Area of Ballybunion and the amalgamation of the District Electoral Divisions which comprise that Area with the District Court Area of Listowel.
