The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 22 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1902 and sections 9 and 21 of the City and County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955 (No. 12 of 1955) hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Public Bodies (Amendment) Order, 1985. 2. This Order and the Public Bodies Orders, 1946 to 1984 shall be construed as one and may be cited together as "the Public Bodies Orders, 1946 to 1985". 3. The Public Bodies (Amendment) Order, 1975 ( S.I. No. 167 of 1975 ) is hereby amended by the insertion in Table A of the Second Schedule thereto before "8.8 Administration and Miscellaneous" of "8.7A Travel and subsistence outside the State". 4. The Public Bodies Order, 1946 (S.R. and O. 1946 No. 273 is hereby amended by the insertion in Forms A1 and A2 of the Schedule thereto (as substituted by the Public Bodies (Amendment) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 173 of 1977 ) ) before "8.8 Administration and Miscellaneous" of "8.7A Travel and subsistence outside the State". GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for the Environment this 11th day of October, 1985. LIAM KAVANAGH, Minister for the Environment. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to require local authorities, in preparing their estimates of expenditure and abstracts of accounts, to identify separately expenditure proposed (in the case of estimates) and actually incurred (in the case of abstracts) on travel and subsistence outside the State.
