Amendment of section 7 of Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1979. 2. Short title and collective citation. Act Referred to Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1979 1979, No. 9 Number 7 of 1987 AGRICULTURE (AN CHOMHAIRLE OILIÚNA TALMHAÍOCHTA) ACT, 1987 AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE AGRICULTURE (AN CHOMHAIRLE OILIÚNA TALMHAÍOCHTA) ACT, 1979 . [20th June, 1987] BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: Amendment of Section 7 of Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1979. 1.— Section 7 of the Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1979 , is hereby amended by the insertion of the following subsection after subsection
(2): “
(3)(
- a)Subject to paragraphs (
- b)and (
- c)of this subsection, An Chomhairle may charge, vary, receive and recover fees for advisory services in agriculture (as defined by the Act of 1977) provided by it. (
- b)Any fees which An Chomhairle proposes to charge or to vary under paragraph (
- a)of this subsection and any terms and conditions relating to the charging or variation of any such proposed fees shall be subject to the prior approval of the Minister, who may vary the amount of any such proposed fees or variation or any such proposed terms and conditions, and any such approval may be either general or relate to a specified fee, term or condition or to a specified class or classes of fees, terms or conditions. (
- c)The Minister may at any time direct An Chomhairle in writing to cease, as from such date as may be specified in the direction, charging any fee or fees approved by him under paragraph (
- b)of this subsection, and may from time to time direct An Chomhairle in writing to vary, as from such date as may be so specified any fee or fees so approved. (
- d)An Chomhairle shall duly comply with a direction under paragraph (
- c)of this subsection.”. Short title and collective citation. 2.—
(1)This Act may be cited as the Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1987.
(2)The Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Act, 1979 , and this Act may be cited together as the Agriculture (An Chomhairle Oiliúna Talmhaíochta) Acts, 1979 and 1987.
