SEANAD ELECTORAL (CHARGES OF RETURNING OFFICERS IN UNIVERSITY CONSTITUENCIES) ORDER, 1987. I, RAY MAC SHARRY, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act, 1937 (No. 30 of 1937), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Seanad Electoral Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies Order, 1987. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. The scale of maximum charges for returning officers in university constituencies prescribed by the Seanad Electoral (Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies) Order, 1983 ( S.I. No. 23 of 1983 ), shall not apply to any election to Seanad Éireann in a university constituency as regards which, pursuant to section 23
(1)of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act 1937 (No. 30 of 1937), a declaration is made by the returning officer after the commencement of this Order. This Order revokes the Seanad Electoral (Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies) Order, 1983 ( S.I. No. 23 of 1983 ) which set out a scale of maximum charges for returning officers in university constituencies.
