HEALTH SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1987. The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and section 56
(3)of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) as substituted by section 1 of the Health (Amendment) Act, 1987 (No. 3 of 1987) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations,
- In these Regulations— " the Act" means the Health Act, 1970 .
- The following diseases and disabilities are hereby prescribed for the purposes of section 56
(3)of the Act: mental handicap, mental illness, phenylketonuria, cystic fibrosis, spina bifida, hydrocephalus, haemophilia and cerebral palsy.
- Article 7 of the health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1971 ) is hereby revoked. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health this 14th day of April,
