AIR POLLUTION ACT, 1987 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1987. The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Air Pollution Act, 1987 (No. 6 of 1987), hereby orders as follows:— 1. This Order may be cited as the Air Pollution Act, 1987 (Commencement) Order, 1987. 2. In this Order— "the Act" means the Air Pollution Act, 1987 . 3. On the 1st day of September, 1987— ( a ) sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10,11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 54, 55, 56 and 59 of the Act and the First Schedule to the Act shall come into operation; ( b ) section 9
(1)of the Act shall come into operation for the purpose of repealing the provisions of the Public Health (Ireland) Act, 1878, referred to in column 3 of Part 1 of the Second Schedule to the Act. This Order brings into operation from 1st September, 1987, those provisions of the Air Pollution Act, 1987 which are set out in Article 3 of the Order.
