AmendmentsLeasuithe I, JOHN P. WILSON, Minister for Tourism and Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 83/416/EEC of 25 July, 19831, as amended by Council Directive No. 86/216/EEC of 26 May, 19862, hereby make the following regulations: 1 OJ No. L237, 26.8.83, p. 19. 2 OJ No. L 152, 6.6.86, p. 47. 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Scheduled Inter Regional Air Services) Regulations, 1987. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 11th day of August, 1987. 3. The Minister for Tourism and Transport shall, in exercise of the powers and discretions conferred on him by the Air navigation and Transport Acts, 1936 to 1986, in relation to air services to which Council Directive No. 83/416/EEC of 25 July, 1983, as amended by Council Directive No. 86/216/EEC of 26 May, 1986, applies, have regard to, and shall comply with, the provisions of that Directive, as so amended. The purpose of these Regulations is to implement Council Directive No. 83/416/EEC, as amended by Council Directive No. 86/216/EEC which provide for the authorisation of scheduled air services between regional airports located within EEC Member States.
