LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MULTI-STOREY BUILDINGS) REGULATIONS, 1988. The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 11

(1)of the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Act, 1988 (No. 17 of 1988) and article 2 of the Local Government (Multi-storey Buildings) Act, 1988 (Determination of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1988 ( S.I. No. 244 of 1988 ) hereby makes the following Regulations. 1.
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Regulations,
  2. In these Regulations "The Act" means the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Act, 1988 . 3.
(1)(a) Form No. 1 set out in the Schedule hereto shall be the form of the register under section 2
(1)of the Act. (b) The register, together with the certificates and declarations recorded in it, shall be open to the public for inspection at all hours when the offices of the local authority are open to the public for the transaction of business.
(2)Form No. 2 set out in the Schedule hereto shall be the form of notice under section 2
(2)of the Act.
(3)(
  1. a)Form No. 3, 4, 5 or 6 set out in the Schedule hereto, as appropriate, shall be the form of certificate under section 3 of the Act. (
  2. b)A certificate under section 3
(1)(a) of the Act shall be submitted to the local authority which served a notice under section 2
(2)of the said Act, within a period of 12 months from the date of service of the said notice. 4.
(1)Form No. 7 set out in the Schedule hereto shall be the form of certificate under section 5 of the Act.
(2)Where a certificate is required to be submitted to a local authority under section 5 of the Act it shall be so submitted within one month following the undoing of the action by reason of which a certificate is required. 5. A certificate, pursuant to section 4
(1)of the Act, in relation to a building the construction of which was completed before the commencement of the Act, shall be given within 6 months of the commencement of the Act. (2)of the Local Government (Multi-Storey Buildings) Act, 1988 that you appear to be an owner of a multi-storey building located at: _________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________ You are hereby required to furnish to _______________________________________________ a certificate in accordance with section 3 of the said Act in respect of the said building within 12 months from the date of service of this notice.
