I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 41 of the Finance Act, 1986 (No. 13 of 1986), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1986 (Custom House Docks Area) (Specified Day) Order, 1988. 2. The 25th day of January 1988 is hereby appointed to be the specified day for the purposes of Chapter V of Part I of the Finance Act, 1986 (No. 13 of 1986). GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 30th day of November, 1988. ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order appoints the 25th January, 1988 as the date from which certain incentive tax reliefs for urban renewal provided for in the Finance Act 1986 are to apply in the Custom House Docks Area. These reliefs comprise capital allowances for commercial buildings, double rent allowance for commercial premises, owner-occupier allowance for residential premises, and allowances for the provision of residential accommodation for renting. The reliefs will be available for a period of 5 years from that date.
