I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance, after consultation with the Minister for the Environment, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection

(8)of section 3 (as modified by the Valuation Act, 1988 (Section 10) Regulation, 1988) of the Valuation Act, 1988 (No. 2 of 1988), hereby order as follows:
  1. This Order may be cited as the Valuation Act, 1988 (Revisions and New Valuations) Order,
  3. The provisions of section 3 of the Valuation Act, 1988 , shall, insofar as they have not been brought into operation by the Valuation Tribunal (Establishment) Order, 1988 ( S.I. No. 229 of 1988 ) come into operation on the 1st day of February,
  4. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 30th day of December,
  5. ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. At present, all applications to have the rateable valuation of a property revised or fixed for the first time must be made by the one date each year—14 February. The Order provides that, with effect from 1 February 1989, such applications can be made at any time of the year.
